Heart of Texas, Waco, Texas

True Guster fans beware! Having first seen the band in May of 2000, I have become somewhat of a huge fan. It seems that others in the heart of Texas, also known as the arm-pit of the world (Waco), march to the beat of a different drummer (one who uses old fashioned sticks). Guster played the best set I've ever seen them play, and even tried to warm up the crowd by singing "Deep in the Heart of Texas" in the middle of an opening song. It's too sad that ninety percent of the crowd not only ingnored this invitation to thoroughly enjoy a fantastic show, but stayed seated with their arms crossed waiting for the "trendy" John Mayer. Mayer has talent, don't get me wrong, but if these so called fans would have given Guster a shot, maybe I wouldn't have gotten so many awkward stares for knowing every word to every song. I felt almost as if I were attending a concert strictly based for teenage girls who finally realized that N-Sync wasn't worth a damn. So here am I Guster fans,to forewarn you, beware of the possiblity of recieving weird stares when you even attempt to enjoy yourself while listening to someone other than Mayer.

By the way, it wasn't a very good homecoming for Ryan considering he grew up only an hour away.
